Wig Shipping & Delivery From China: Modes, Terms, Documents
Shipping is where a good wig order either lands profitably or quietly bleeds margin. The mode you choose changes your landed cost and your restock speed; the trade term you agree decides who owns each leg of the journey and each risk along it; and the documents decide whether your carton clears customs in a day or sits in a warehouse accruing fees. We arrange all three pieces for buyers every week. Here is how we think about them — and what we put in writing with every quotation.
Shipping Modes: Express, Air, Sea
International Express
The sample and small-order mode. Door-to-door, tracked, and fast — the right call for sample rounds and urgent restocks where freight is a rounding error on the decision.
Air Freight
The mid-size bulk mode. Airport-to-airport pricing with your forwarder or ours, trading some cost for serious speed when a selling season is at stake.
Sea Freight
The volume mode. LCL for smaller consignments, full containers when your restock gets serious. Slowest, cheapest per unit, and the default for established reorder cycles.
There is no universally right answer — the right mode is the one that makes your landed cost and your calendar work, and we lay out the options with real numbers in your quotation rather than pushing one.
FOB, CIF and DDP, Explained Without Jargon
FOB (Free On Board): we produce, pack, clear export customs and put your goods on the vessel at the Chinese port. From that moment the shipment is yours — your forwarder, your freight, your insurance. Best for buyers with an established forwarder and negotiated freight rates.
CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight): everything in FOB, plus we arrange and pay the ocean or air freight and insurance to your destination port. You handle import customs and local delivery. Best for buyers who want one fewer vendor to manage but still control the import side.
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): we deliver to your door with duties and taxes handled. Best for newer importers and buyers who want a single landed number. It costs more than FOB — you are paying us to own the complexity — and for many buyers that is a good trade on the first orders while they learn their market's import process.

Packing Standards
Wigs are light but crushable, and lace is unforgiving about rough handling. Each unit ships in its retail or neutral packaging, cartoned with moisture protection, with carton-level quantity and condition checks at pre-shipment QC — the final gate of our five-step quality control process. Documents & Customs
Every shipment leaves with standard export documentation: commercial invoice, packing list, and the transport document for your mode (air waybill or bill of lading), prepared to match the shipment exactly — because the fastest way to a customs hold is a document that disagrees with the carton. If your market or your broker requires anything beyond the standard set, tell us in the inquiry and it will be listed in your quotation, not discovered at the port.
How Shipping Fits Your Order Timeline
Your quotation separates production lead time from transit time, because they are different clocks and merging them is how suppliers over-promise. Production time comes from our own floor — we give you the real date, not a buffered one. Transit time depends on the mode and destination you choose, and we confirm it for your specific shipment. The two numbers, side by side in writing, are what you plan your launch or restock against.

How long does wig shipping from China take?
It depends on the mode: international express is the fastest for samples and small orders, air freight suits mid-size bulk, and sea freight is the economical choice for large volumes. Transit times for your specific destination and mode are confirmed in your quotation.
What is the difference between FOB, CIF and DDP?
FOB means we deliver the goods onto the vessel at the Chinese port and your forwarder takes it from there. CIF means we also arrange and pay freight and insurance to your destination port. DDP means we deliver to your door with duties and taxes handled. The right term depends on whether you have your own forwarder and how much of the logistics you want to manage.
